Harvard Pilgrim Health Care is on my mind. In April a gentleman was referred to me who needed to reduce his Medicare Supplement Premium. He was with Harvard Pilgrim but the premiums were getting too high for him, he wanted to find something cheaper. So I signed him up with another company and reduced his payment by about $50 a month. My customer had pre-paid his Harvard Pilgrim premiums for 1 year and was due a refund. In March of this year, he received a letter from Harvard Pilgrim telling him he was due a refund and how much it would be for. The letter also informed him it would take a couple of months to process the refund. I will not go on and on about the frustration this gentleman has encountered in trying to get the refund, let us suffice it to say that today is July 13 and Harvard Pilgrim has yet to return the +/- $3500 refund to my client. I have made numerous calls to Harvard Pilgrim on behave of my client and each time receive a different reason as to why the refund has not been sent. My client and I are frustrated and so have decided to take the issue to the public.
I am asking everyone who reads this to please share it and get the word out. Harvard Pilgrim Health Care takes it's time when it comes down to owing clients money. It isn't fair!!! I write insurance business for several Medicare Supplement Insurance Companies but not for Harvard Pilgrim and I never will recommend them to anyone.
