I heard it told, if you want to get something done, give it to a busy person. Well, I hope that is true because despite my latest announcement concerning my desire to write in my retirement, I need to start NOW! And I am already very busy with all I am doing but fully intend to make time for writing.
Hopefully, some of my colleagues, will read on and decide to give me a try at (ghost) blogging for them, giving me an opportunity to help them in their business but also giving me exposure but delving into writing full time. It could be the start of a beautiful relationship, since me desire for payment at this time, will be considerable less than in 5 years when I hope to be living on good ole Social Security and what I can bring in through writing.
Now you may ask, what makes me qualified to write a blog for someone else? Good question and I know some may have a difficult time grasping the concept but hear me out. Many people I speak with and ask why they do not already blog, simply say they don't have time. Understandably so! We all only have 24 hours in a day and what we do with those hours regardless of what others may thing, is important. Blogging does not sit high on the priority list of building our business or making more money. Almost everyone does agree though that it is helpful. So if I can write something for you to post and it takes minimal time on your part, wouldn't it be worth it. Yes, I did say it would take some minimal time on your part.
Good business people are already spending time, having coffee and building relationships with other business people, so make one of those coffee appointments with me, your (Ghost) blogger. We will talk about what you would like to express in a blog, I'll key in on some of your common phrases and personality traits and incorporate those into my writing. Then i will go to work to put together a piece you will approve before you choose to publish it. It's that easy!
I'll also be sure to link your website into the blog, this will drive business to your website as well as any possible causes you may want to write about.
I'll end now with a description of what I am talking about: I have a friend who owns a music store/studio, his tagline is "Music begins here", and let's say that Pete would like to blog about a famous legendary guitarist and what he likes about that person. I could write that blog for my friend and include some interesting tidbits about the guitarist that I find on the internet. When the blog is published, others who enjoy that legendary guitarist would be excited to read the blog and follow the link to my friends website.
That's all I have for now, I hope some of you will consider giving me the opportunity to corroborate with you on my next endeavor.
